]]> The first Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy Assisting Degree (BSOTA) with a Minor in Health Services Administration in the State of Florida is now offered at 91TV International University. The BSOTA Program successfully obtained confirmation of eligibility to apply for accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and is now pursuing the next step in the accreditation process, which is application for Candidacy Status. The program must be granted Candidacy Status, have a pre-accreditation review, complete an on-site evaluation, and be granted Accreditation Status before its graduates will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination.

The BSOTA degree prepares graduates with clinical, research, advocacy, managerial, and leadership skills, allowing them to work in various settings and specialties within the healthcare system and with clients of all ages. Graduates may work at hospitals, nursing homes, schools, mental health agencies, outpatient clinics specializing in orthopedic, neurological, and sensorimotor conditions, work as instructors in OTA schools, and as administrators. Entrepreneurship is a viable option for graduates of the BSOTA Program, with opportunities to create their own agencies delivering healthcare services. Graduates who want to gain experience within diverse settings of practice throughout the country have the option of employment as traveling therapists, selecting work assignments in the geographical area of their preference.
